Who are you ?
The question “what kind of designer are you?” doesn’t quite make sense to us.
When we look at the product a designer, artist, craftsman does, we evaluate the work based on the aesthetic and functional qualities and not by the label on the person education.
We believe that people that decide to accept or reject something based on a label make a big mistake or are just narrow-minded.
About Decaf
DECAF's ethos is about thoughtful design that starts with a strong concept but never forgets the user.
Narrowing design down to a single category is a simplistic way to approach it; it's not that one design category requires greater talent than another.
They are just different skills and both take talent in different ways.
So, that’s why we think that, a collaboration of those skills will give the individual designer more freedom and possibilities and will definitely be very valuable for him and the client. Also by the collaboration of the different disciplines, the designers realize they have much more in common thank they thought of.
DECAF is group of designers that believes that the talent of a designer
shouldn't be limited to their area of expertise or training, and shouldn't
be labeled according to his studies.
A designer is able to expand his skills as he branches out into other areas of design,medium you use or the type of design you are trained in. With this collaboration, we will also create a real and more insightful experience to the consumer.
But is not only the experience the consumer has that is important. It is also the reality that consumers are located anywhere in the world. So a designer has to be able to deliver a product that resonates to different cultures.
As a multidisciplinary cross-cultural design team our conceptual process is richer, as we look at the task at hand from different points of view, and the execution of the final product using each others skills and backgrounds is outstanding!
Combining our thinking and processes, we offer a more complete product.
And, going back to the ethos of DECAF, we will have thoughtful design, with every detail and functionality analyzed from different points of view, conveying emotion in a clever way.
